ABOUT US

Justin Sowell founded GY6 U.S. Military Maintenance LLC after stumbling upon this great opportunity through an article posted on LinkedIn. Justin Sowell served four and a half years as an 0311 Rifleman with 1st Battalion 1st Marines out of Camp Pendleton, California from January of 2009 through June of 2013. Justin deployed twice overseas to various countries in East Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia including a seven-month stint to the Helmand Provence of Afghanistan. After returning home, Justin, went to work in the oil & gas industry until hard times made it nearly impossible to provide for his family due to the industries economic struggles. Justin went back to school to work on a degree in business management and started working in the nonprofit sector. Justin also founded a nonprofit to assist veterans, service members, and their families in connecting to local resources called My Veteran Community, Inc.

When Justin found U.S. Military Maintenance, the concept and idea the company was founded on was everything he was looking for in a for-profit business. GY6 U.S. Military Maintenance LLC provided Justin with the tools he needed to serve the local community, provide for his family while continuing his education, hire other transitioning and underserved veterans, and connect those veterans with resources within the community to foster success.
